Celtic Boss Eyes Four Fresh Signings Ahead Of Next Season

Scottish champions Celtic will look to bank on the success of a domestic treble in order to further strengthen the squad in the summer.

The Hoops benefited with their cautious transfer business last summer as they recruited the likes of Moussa Dembele, Scott Sinclair and Kolo Toure to their ranks.
While Dembele and Sinclair were regulars in the attack front, Kolo, a Premier League legend during his time at Arsenal, provided adequate backup at the heart of the defence.

Toure became the first player to hold an unique record of having become a double 'Invincible' following unbeaten with both Arsenal and Scotland in their respective leagues. The 36-year-old's current deal is due to expire in the summer, but Brendan Rodgers could yet reward him with a new contract with the prospect of a backroom role in the future. While the Hoops faithful celebrate their treble success, Rodgers is hoping to make progress in Europe after the club were knocked out of the Champions League group stages last season.

"You have to be careful and recognise where we are," Rodgers said. “We’re 10 times behind budget-wise. You have to be realistic

"We want to qualify, first and foremost. That will always be a challenge. Then we have to try and see what we can do We would like to be in Europe for the second part of the season, whatever competition that’s in, and that’s a huge, huge ask for a club like ourselves."

Rodgers managed to take former club Liverpool on the brink of Premier League glory during the 2013/14 campaign, and he will hope to use all his expertiseto guide the Hoops to another Champions League run via the playoffs. The ex-Reds boss is said to be eyeing a new centre-back, midfielder, winger and striker in order to bolster the squad ahead of next season.
