Chelsea Closing in on Signing Datro Fofana- The Ivory Coast Striker

Chelsea has an agreement with Norwegian side Molde for signing Datro Fofana, the teenage striker of Ivory Coast. The center-forward options have taken a hit last week following the ruptured Anterior Cruciate Ligament of Armando Broja. So, he might have to miss out on the last season. Chelsea looks to set a complete signing of the striker from Molde in an £8.6million deal before the transfer window of January. The Blue had been exploring many striker options following the injury of Broja.

Joao Felix, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Youssoufa Moukoko had come up as prospective targets. However, it appears Todd Boehly will rather choose Fofana. The teenager has scored 15 goals and 5 assists for the Norwegian side until now.

Fofana, the Ivory Coast striker, has just one year left on the present deal at Molde and might be discussing personal terms before his move to Stamford Bridge. Boehly is focusing on signing youngsters who are talented after completing the £4 billion Chelsea takeover earlier this year, spending almost £300 million in his first transfer window of summer.

Chelsea is looking to jump into the rivals of the Premier League by tapping in on their January plans before the transferring window opens up. David Datro Fofano is a football player with strong physical attributes, which helped him perform in the Premier League. The star player of Ivory Coast began his career in his home country with Academie de Foot Amadou Diallo de Djékanou before he made his move to Molde in 2021.
Fofana depends on his physicality for holding off and beating opposition players with his strength and pace. Even though he is just 19 years old, the player has the great technical ability and uses the skill to beat defenders. He is opening up space for himself for creating chances or taking his chance at goals.
