WE WILL KEEP TITLE

Manchester city defender Kolo Toure has expressed his confidence that the club will be able to retain the Premier league title against stiff opposition from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea. Prior to the start of the season, the Ivory Coast international has said that it is certainly not going to be easy to retain the title.

Manchester United have strengthened over the summer, while Chelsea have made significant changes to the squad that won the Champions League title last season. Due to the arrival of a very young and fast midfielders, Chelsea are expected to pose a different kind of threat this season.

Manchester city managed to lift the Premier league title for the first time in 44 years, but Kolo Toure reckons that it is going to be even more difficult than winning the title first time to retain it. Kolo Toure is one of the few players in the Manchester city squad having experienced the taste of winning the Premier league title with his previous club Arsenal. Even though the 31-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club, he has said that he is confident that Manchester City can retain the title against the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.

"It will be difficult defending because every team will come down and look to beat us. But when you're champion you need to behave like a champion and take it game by game. The confidence is here, everyone now just wants to win and when you win once you want to win every time and City now wants to win every season. We know how to win and now we have to work hard and give 100 per cent every game," said Kolo Toure while on the pre-season tour of the Asian continent.
